Since it appears my memory is slipping, it seems fitting that today's spinetingler is The Dark Chamber by Leonard Cline



Originally published in 1927, this tale of a man who, seeking the lost moments of his life, resorts to mental stimulation by means of scent, sound and drugs, setting himself wandering through the dim hallways of his memory, until he stumbles upon the key to his ancestral past, and unlocks the dark chamber.....

Trivia Tidbits: This novel saw publicatiom while Cline was awaiting trial for fatally shooting a friend during a drunken quarrel. He was sentenced to a year in prison for manslaughter.
